Is Everything A Scam?

I recently visited a forum where I saw so many wanna-be internet marketers claiming how everything is a scam. Some how, they hadn’t given up. But there was a sense of desperation in their posts.

In an effort to help one guy, I asked him if I could have a peek at his blog. He had been involved in selling something something that didn’t convert well, and didn’t have a clue why his blog was getting absolutely no traffic.

When I got to the blog the first thing I noticed was how barren it was. There was only one small page of content. The content contained was not very informative.

The second mistake I saw was the products he was recommending. He was pushing some “make money in affiliate marketing” stuff, yet he had not really made any money and hadn’t even used the products he was promoting.

He said he was following some rules that had been outlined in a product from The Rich Jerk. I have not seen the product but I did find a nice little bit of advice here. Basically, look up as best you can what you are buying before you buy it. Not all make money online products are the same. There are some really good ones out there. The problem lies in the advertising methods of the guru’s. They are sometimes too effective, and the product they are offering may not be for newbies. You don’t put a 16 year old into a Lamborghini for their first car. It is too much for them to handle and the odds are they will crash it. And even some older folks who have not been in one will have a tough time too.

Start with the bicycle and the training wheels. If you have a knack for it you will move along quickly. And if you have not actually purchased and used or thoroughly examined a product then don’t promote it.
