What Purpose Did This Serve?

I am perplexed.

I first would like to inform my fellow blog ring bloggers that if I leave a comment on your blog I like to use the name avenuegirl.  I make an effort to leave a positive comment, or not comment at all. I have NEVER left a negative comment telling other bloggers what to do on their blogs. It’s your blog! Just like this is my blog. And I swear on my grandmothers grave I have never told another blogger on the blog ring (or even out side of it) not to monetize their blog!

If I were to discover something you were selling looked suspicious  like scammy or something I would tell you -  as you would hope a friend would – and I’d support my findings with some link or instruction.  I would point and give you a real reason why you should look more into something.

Am I supposed to get upset?

I have to wonder.  Nancy Ellyn had a concern on Low Carb Friends. Apparently someone who likes Martini’s, is into Affiliate Marketing and enjoys smoking sent her some down right dirty comments about her dropping a few links here and there on her blog.  Now, it was suggested or I should say implied that she just may have been talking about someone who may have written this very blog you are looking at now.

I came across the fodder and my eyes widened in amazement. Was she really talking about me? What evidence was presented to her to have her sumize it was possibly me or someone who fits my M.O.? Why would someone leave an ANONYMOUS comment, and then leave so many clues that would bring her to the verdict? Should I be upset?

Given the circumstances and the amount of time consumed in the Kimkins Debacle I can not get upset. I do feel bad though for Nancy Ellyn that someone has been baiting her. I don’t know the details. All I know is I didn’t do it.

My arms are wide open to Nancy Ellyn. I am more than happy to provide anything she requires to show my innocence.

I will continue on the fight.

It’s Not A Scam! Do I Sell It?

There are a lot of great products on the web, and not everything is a scam.  So, when you come upon something you’ve determined is legal, do you sell it?

I’m going to repeat myself here – there are a lot of great products on the web.

I have something else I promote way on the other side of the universe.  Someone emailed me from my list with that product asking for information on becoming an affiliate.  Typically, I wouldn’t want to share that kind of information.  It is a business and all.  But I knew if they were asking me for information, chances were that this person really had not done much marketing.  Internet marketers know some clever little tricks to find out how to get into programs that aren’t so obvious.

I had nothing to lose, and actually a second tier to gain in commissions.  I actually had more information than most about the product and different options or ways to sell it.  I decided to help.  First, I was going to need some information on the person I was helping.  I needed to know what kind of business model they had in mind.  What methods they were going to try in the promotion of this product.

I emailed back and asked what they had promoted in the past.  I was directed to a web site and service I had not seen before.  Immediately, the detective magnifying glass came out.

The affiliate of this program has assured me this was a reputable company, yet their website was less than a year old.  There were virtually no backlinks going to the site.  There was some other things I really didn’t care for either.

I pretended to sign up to see the path one is taken through to participate in the program.  A charge of $60.00 and monthly charge after that of $30.00.  A pre determined web host that was mandatory – and at some point in the game the affiliate was going to have to give out their passwords and access to that host.

These were all huge red flags.  I was just about to stop when I came across some verifible information from other affiliates who were actually doing ok with the program.  I also came across words from the actual producer of the product who willingly gave out an email, phone number, and was sincere in attempts to promote this program.

In the end, I determined it was not a scam.  So the next question was should this person I was trying to help be selling it?  I didn’t want to make up their mind for them, but for me in the end this was not a product I would sell.  Why?  The work needed to be “seen” was going to be tremendous.  The majority of affiliates who were making money on this program seemed to be doing it all with the help of ppc.

While it is possible my new friend could sell this and make it work, it was going to require a trememdous amount of work before they would see a profit.  There was a huge learning curve they needed to consider.

I think it’s better to approach something a bit easier and work your way up as to not get discouraged.

There is enough t learn when you are first starting out and the easiest way is to start by promoting something you know.  Find a product or service you know like the back of your hand and actually use.

What is In My Online Income System?

I got a question about Kimberley Hoffman’s My Online Income System Membership, and thought others may be seeking the same information.

I am just so very curios of what the Step by step instruction, videos, software, and more of Kimberley Hoffman come with. Can you please explain in detail, I would really like to know and it doesn’t really say on the my online income system of what you get in the 300 pages. Thanks

-Marissa

Thanks for stopping by Marissa.
When you pay for the system, you are given access to a back office. It is like having a private membership. There you will find various resources to get you on your way.

To start off you would get a chance to claim a free DVD bonus (available while supplies last). The DVD is internet marketer Nick Marks – sharing how he in his first year of internet marketing pulled in a whopping $791,403.84.

You are given the opportunity to immediately set up a free website. The site has been designed for you – all you need to add is hosting. I have seen the site – and it is an extremely professional design. It gives you a chance to immediately promote three products (you’ll have to join to see what these are).

There is a chance to apply for the one on one mentoring – which I discuss on my initial review.

There is a guide to setting up your online business – with details that will help you decide the right direction.  This is fantastic – and something most people skip over, but is vital to anyone planning there own work at home.

You’ll get information on the “blank blank blank” which is a proven long term method used today by MANY internet marketers. I’m sorry, but I can’t reveal what this is – but I assure you it is extensive, profitable, and free to implement. I know marketers pulling in thousands monthly who are doing this. It can be used with ANY niche.

Another ebook is provided that gives a plan to work that can have you making $100 a day. Everything you need to know is provided.

There are guides provided to show you how to take things a bit further by diving into ebay. Ebay is much more than just a place to list your garage sale;) – and you can learn more ways to make money.

There is a library of ELEVEN more ebooks – covering some topics in great detail. Some of these include creating your own ebook, mailing lists, blogs, copywriting, traffic, etc.

Kim provides an extensive list and access to software and tools you may need in the creation of your new business as well. These are just things to add to your business after you get it going.  These are website building tools – and software to help you automate tasks.  Again, these things are not necessary when you first start (you can make money with out them) but you will see the importance of them when the time comes.  When you are ready for them, they are there.

Finally, there are her own personal recommendations for products – but honestly I have used some of those other things and you won’t need to even think about looking at them for some time – especially if you are just starting out.

I can honestly say, if I had never sold anything online before, didn’t have a clue – My Online Income System Membership would be the one product to invest in.  Simple to follow and really does save you hours of trial and error – scouring the web for things you will need.  She has done a great job of covering it.

Anyway, it is crazy silly simple, complete, and comes with 100% money back guarantee.

My Online Income System

EDIT 3/21/2009

Please note, I have added some comments below.

While I think the ebook supplied for MOIS is an effective system, it has come to my attention that those just starting out online may be looking for a bit more help and can not afford the backend mentoring offer given by MOIS.
I have been busy creating a video instructional members site and invite all of you to join.

You can visit http://morethanmembers.com and feel free to take a tour in the free members area. For more information, please visit the comments at the end of this post.

Thanks!

Avenuegirl :)

Now back to this original post:

I recently came across a new product in the IM niche called My Online Income System.

The product was created by Kimberley Hoffman. The product caught my eye initially, as Kimberely was formerly a waitress – as was I in a past life.

I decided to purchase the product and see what Ms. Hoffman was selling.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. This is not your typical put up a website and spend thousands of dollars on ad spend (silly, I wonder who would do that;).

There is an actual “system” and I know from my time in affiliate marketing the advice given is sound. You can literally take this product and make no further investment and be making money on the web.

As an experiment, I jumped on just one thing mentioned in MOIS, and in a matter of a couple of weeks, I had a couple of sales which resulted in enough money to cover the cost of myonlineincomesystem.com. The system is currently $39.97.

While some of the information found in My Online Income System can be found on the web searching aimlessly for hours, this package as a whole saves valuable time as it puts it all together and gives you the proper path to follow. In addition, there are some additional resources and materials provided and the chance to participate in a one on one mentoring system.

I had a conversation with Greg Hansen who is involved with finding those who need that one on one mentoring. Anyone going into that is provided with team experts and the goal is to hone in on real business development. They secure the success of your new business with a guarantee.

The mentoring program is additional – but the original materials provided in MOIS are enough by themselves for any focused and motivated individual to get started with. To prove this, I have created some video to show just how simple it is to make money using the materials in My Online Income System.

For a FREE secret way to cash in quickly with 5 minutes of effort, please visit onlineincomesecret.net.

With an ever growing nervous economy, an online business is a great back-up.

After months of the investigation of scams and marketing nightmares, this product is a dream come true.

For more details on what this package offers, visit http://myonlineincomesystem.com.

Customer Review Videos – My Secret Revealed!

To view the reading of today blog on video please visit April Special . This is a long one, and video might just be easier on the eyes!

Otherwise, enjoy the reading.

Sincerely, Avenue Girl

Now is the time to sign up for Customer Review Videos. I have a secret to share with you, but it is only good for the next 2 weeks.

If you are one of the fortunate ones to glimpse at this blog post, today will surely be the day you will never forget. There is a special from today to the end of April. I’d like you to join me as a platinum member to CRV.

Who Am I and Why Should You Listen to ME?

I’m going to give you the condensed version of this blog and what I’ve been doing. This blog’s address is affiliatescams. It was started months ago for a way to share what I have learned about online scams, in particular the Kimkins diet. I was an affiliate for this diet. I made money selling this diet. At one point I made over a thousand dollars a day promoting this diet. I even lost weight. So why would I give all that up? Because it was a SCAM. Yes, I was lied to, and given false information. It is not what I am about – no matter how much money I made. What’s even worse, people suffered some serious side effects following this diet. The guilt of what I had a hand in was overwhelming. I have now spent months doing everything I can to help expose this scam, and save others from falling into the trap that I did.

In my journey during the past months, I have come across SECRETS. Real secrets of what makes an online business work. I have been in the trenches of the internet. I have been to places no one wants to go. But I had to go. I had to find the TRUTH. And in finding the truth, I found so much more.

For a while I was depressed. I questioned my pursuit in a career as an affiliate marketer. My only desire was to help people and share “good” things. It seemed like everything I was looking into was associated with a scam. I made a promise to myself. I was going to seriously investigate any program I was considering promoting, I wasn’t going to suggest a product I wouldn’t try myself, and I was going to do regular research on who ever I was working for/with to make sure their service was all that it said it was.

Now I was sitting here with all this experience and the only way to really help people would be sharing what I have learned on the web.

Affiliate marketing can be an extremely rewarding experience. Sometimes the best opportunity happens when you aren’t even looking for it.

One of the reasons I did so well with Kimkins was the fact that I took action. Another reason was the fact that the product was virtually unheard of. I promoted this product based on my experience with it – but again I was lied to about the long term effects of the plan. I would have never recommended it knowing what I know today. I was even told the product was under “New Ownership” and again I was lied to. I know what it is like to be lied to.

I am now a giant blabbermouth. If something starts looking amiss, I will be the first to tell you. Just last night I received a comment on a post about Slash My Search. I have been using it but have not yet reached my first payment. Here is the comment left, and here was my response:

I’d be interested in knowing if you’ve actually gotten paid by Slash My Search: I joined in January, waited the required two months for payment. Requested payment of $105 on the first day the ‘request payment’ section said I was eligible. It shows they paid me-I have seen nothing in my verified Paypal account. It is now over three months since I joined and I am due almost $200-and have been paid nothing. I’ve emailed several times-no answer. Even found the owner’s email addy and emailed him directly-no answer.

Now, my concern is, are they going to claim the non-existant payment as a payout and give me an IRS problem? Something is very wrong here. Also, search doesnt work worth a darn for me-it ends up sending me to Google if I use the tool bar and gives me almost no results-just advertisers-if I use the homepage searchbox.

If anybody actually gets paid by them, I’d like to see it-I sure havent!

Hi truckingal!

I have reached the twenty dollar minimum but I am not eligible yet for the pay out. I will tell you this much though – if for some reason I am not paid it will be well known on the web.

It looks like this company was going – had to fix some stuff – and resumed.

If they say they will pay then they should obviously. I would be willing to help you in any way I can to resolve the situation.

Is this where you sent your email? help@slashmysearch.com

You will not have an IRS problem. Paypal shows all payments made to you over the course of the year and I personally print up mine at tax time. If it did not go into your paypal then you should not have any problems.

I have personally had some interesting results when using their search engine, but I do not rely on it for all my searches. My home page is set to it though, and that is what fires up when I start my computer.

I have done searches from the home page and my results in tafiti carry no ads – so I’m unsure what you are referring to here.

Unfortunately I can not condemn the program until it is time for my payment. I will promise you though – if they don’t pay there will be some serious spear chucking going on.

There is a comments section open on hub pages, http://hubpages.com/hub/Why_use_Slash_My_Search?comments

If I were in your shoes, this is what I would do. I would go ask that guy if he has been paid, I would check out squidoo as I know there is at least one page up there about it – and you will be able to comment there, I would visit youtube and see who has videos up for it there, and really check around.

Here is a blog, and this gal had some kind of issue, maybe you can comment for her and see if she will reveal anything else.

http://junesrecipe.blogspot.com/2007/03/slash-my-search-inoperable.html

Miss June may have some more info for you.

And here is another guy you can contact who looks like he may have some more information for you:

http://cwilson26.blogspot.com/2007/03/google-adsense-and-slash-my-search.html

I hope this is just a “technical administrative error.”

I want to thank you for stopping by and voicing your concerns.

I have personally emailed truckingal, as I care about what is going on. The search engine works, but if it is not paying then that will obviously need to be addressed. She is working on the issue. I have given her some leads to follow as well. That is who I am.

I am not going to get rich off SMS, but there are people who do rely on programs like these for their income. In the same regard, I will not condemn the program until I get my own results. And rest assured, you will hear from me when judgement day comes.

Another program I was researching out of curiosity was 1on40. This was an easy choice to avoid. The online antics of the companies owner mimicked those of Heidi Diaz, the owner of the Kimkins diet. More and more reports are in daily of 1on40 and their inability to perform as promised. I follow the story, and present my finding here on affiliate scams for people to find answers. That is the importance of this blog.

Why am I so confident about promoting CRV?

I can honestly say Customer Review Videos is that new hot product. I can recognize those things. There is a free version – so anyone can do this. It encompasses video – which is where the web is going.

I have had personal access to Scott Britner. Before I even contacted Scott, I went in on the free version and checked it out. I was blown away over the possibilities of this concept. I wanted to do a review of the product. After an upgrade to the platinum version, I was able to start exploring more. A simple example is the video squeeze page, which you may be viewing this blog on now. This is just one of the benefits of this powerful tool. I am using the product. If you are looking at the video you have proof that I am using the product.

This company has found an effective way to maximize the power of video. Any product you choose to promote – you can use other peoples videos. You don’t have to even know how to make a video and you can still use the service.

CRV doesn’t make money on the stuff you are selling. You get all the credit. It is an absolutely brilliant idea, and as far as I can see it’s execution is outstanding.

There is no hype here. I have been racking my brain to figure out why any of this would be a bad thing. I can find nothing. Months of analyzing programs and looking for scammy things, and CRV has me completely stumped. There is absolutely no reason for anyone not to try this. And now like I said, this is the time to get in on this opportunity. You will be beating yourself over the head by December if you don’t do this now. You don’t need to be a technical genius.

Back to where I began. There is a special for the next 2 weeks. The Platinum version of Customer Review Videos is a paid monthly membership. If you join for the full version now, you can save $20.00 a month off the monthly membership fee. Use the coupon code “april2008″ and not only save on the current low rate but continue to save when the price jumps (and I believe it will). As this company grows there will be only more and more value added. You will be able to lock in your membership. You can quickly assemble video niche sites and pay no hosting fees. Using videos you didn’t even have to make – no bandwidth fees. Make all the video squeeze pages you want. Heck, I might not be exciting, but the fact that you are possibly watching this right now and that I didn’t spend hours building this page just blows me away!

I want you to go to the site now, and I want you to play around with it. I want you to see for yourself. And then I want to hear what you think. Am I out of my gourd? That’s a different question. Is CRV not one of the coolest things to ever hit affiliate marketing and video at the same time?

So here is a link to sign up for free, and I am there on the page to show you where to go: Customer Review Videos

Or you can get a closer look at the plan, and there are some examples of all the features and you can try out the platinum version and have a video niche site up as soon as tomorrow. I kid you not. It’s that freaking easy. Here is the full version explained.

And if you are on the video of this blog, you will see a little sign up list below. I want this to work for everyone. I want to share everything I can with you to get every last ounce out of this program. That sign-up is for a monthly newsletter I’m putting together that will have video tips in it. If anyone gives me any good video tips, I will be putting you in the newsletter with a link to your site. You will get free tips about once a month, and show me something good and you will get some traffic too.

I have a lot of faith in this company, and I think after you visit you will see just why.

I hope you’ll join me.
