Anyway, I just wanted to be clear here – I am not in the lawsuit against Kimkins for any money. I have seen that you think there are 2 sides to every story, and you see yourself as a success.

I’d like to refer you to a post I have buried somewhere on the Kimkins site. I’d like you to go to search the site, and look for a post called “50 lost, 50 gained” – and I believe it is some where in the success stories.

50 lost was my pounds at the time obviously, and 50 gained referred to things that I could do with that weight off and how I too had the perspective of a success story.  People actually printed up my post and put it on their refridgerators.

If my enthusiasm of the plan at the time does not get to you in that post, or anyone else for that matter, then I just don’t know what will.

So, how did I become so bitter?  How can I go from such feelings of control and success to wanting to bring down (to light actually) the very thing I though was helping me?

I gotta tell you Dee, things are not as clear cut as you are seeing them.

Heidi did not offer up the information we got from her.  Her apology is not real.

No one wants to deny you the success of your weight loss.  But we are concerned as some of us now know some additional truths.  Any attempts to communicate inside the kimpound are to find those who may still not realize the full truth of this diet and what it can do to ones body.

No one is saying you are not smart enough to up your supplements and exercise.  And just so you know – I take full responsibility for everything I did to myself – and I did exercise – and I did up my own supplements.  But when all was said and done it wasn’t enough.

I never posted a negative word on the Kimkins site – and I was banned. Never one bad thing.  Why?

This particular lawsuit is only about fraud.  And yes, there are many other injustices in the world we could go after.  And when they concern fraud which ultimately affects ones health you will find those causes do rise to the top of the list.  It wouldn’t even be so much if Heidi did just gain some weight back.  The problem here is someone who has no proof what so ever that they lost weight.  The problem is someone who claimed they had maintained for 5 years after losing this way – giving the illusion that it is okay.  There was no loss or maintenance.

If you are not seeing references to things like laxatives that is because they have been swept under the carpet.  Just because you didn’t see them doesn’t mean they aren’t there.  I’m sure when this is over you will see lots of things you didn’t before.

There are two sides – and I hope you take some more time to see what really is on the other side.

        

Forget starvation and laxatives. Say goodbye to diet induced hair loss.

I have investigated this diet, and it’s founders. I find them to be so reputable!

So, who is responsible? Who is going to be held accountable when Kimkins lawsuit has to pay out?

There is not too much information on this subject, although the FTC holds sites responsible for affiliates actions. That means that Kimmer is ultimately responsible.

So are the affiliates off free and clear? Not according to myspace. Myspace is suing 50 affiliates seeking 20 million in damages. I think this is only the beginning. It appears that myspace is fed up with the spammers and marketers, and I can’t blame them. Affiliates may scoff at this now, but trust me. If you are still promoting Kimkins, and especially if you are using the fake pictures and testimonials given by Heidi, you could be held accountable.

Are you curious who is at risk? You can easily check the google search and some affiliates with their tracking numbers pop right up.

We have tried to contact these affiliates when we come across them, but many just don’t care. If Myspace succeeds with this lawsuit there will be other networking sites that will follow suit.

I am on your side affiliates. I was one of you. I urge you, if you are still using false advertising materials provided by Kimkins, please remove them. There is no reason to be marketing for this unethical program.

I’ve gone ten pages into the fascination with kimmer thread. It is going to take me a while to get through it, but it is on my resolutions. I could see the fear in some of the original posters, wondering if the thread would make it through the night. I got a chuckle seeing some of my new friends, and their comments when they were still supportive of Kimkins. No wonder they were so patient with me when I first entered the forum. They knew I had to crash and burn before the phoenix could rise out of the ashes. I’m grateful they were there for me.

There is going to be a huge upset when Heidi is shut down. I feel like there needs to be a deprogramming room where they are taken in one by one, and given sedatives and each one nursed back to health. It took me a couple of months to adjust myself. And that was with the additional aid of my dear friend Stoli.

I’m finally looking again for affiliate programs. The disaster of last year has made me extremely cautious in my choices. I almost got sucked into an MLM scam. Looked like a great product, but after 4 days of research, it looks like if I didn’t get in on the ground floor, I’d be spinning my wheels. Not to mention the number of people who were on the bottom and got scammed. I can’t go through the feeling of being associated with anything like that again. I’m no Wouter Van Dyck.

I’m not giving up.

I’ve mustered off five pounds this week. My resolutions are still in tact.

It’s a new beginning. Who says there are no do-overs? I’m calling 2008 the official year of a do-over.

        

It only took a year for Kimkins to spread it’s deadly word on the internet. Was it the too good to be true offer itself or the techniques used?

I think it was a bit of both. The thought that someone lost 198 lbs in 11 months, and maintained it for 5 years really caught my eye. It was a miracle! This could end world wide obesity! Who wouldn’t want to share that kind of story? Everyone has someone in their family who is a bit overweight. If you don’t, I highly recommend you high tail it over to the sperm or egg donor bank. Oh, and I’m talking to the Americans here. I know some other countries that will swear up and down they don’t have any fat people, and until I go there I will take their word for it.

So, the message or virus to begin with was powerful. Too bad it wasn’t true. It’s this kind of junk that spoils it for the rest of us who really may come across a miracle product.

The second factor has to do with where one chooses to sneeze. If you just stay home and sneeze away, who can you infect? You need to sneeze in highly populated areas, and on people who will be susceptible to your virus.

Who is a good host for the Kimkins virus? People desperate to lose weight. Where would you find them? Well, in weight loss forums of course. And that is where Kimmer began her sneezing.

Heidi didn’t stop there. She went on to article submission sites, blogs, and into every nook and cranny of the internet. She even suggested their were celebrities using the Kimkins diet. What happens when young teen girls think their idols are on the kimkins diet? They want to do it too. And I think we all have an idea of young teen girls on the phone, sending text, and the gossip they love to share.

My friends at the Low Carb Friends forum have been working day and night to use the power of viral marketing to help stop the Kimkins virus. We have a message, and it is getting out there. Our virus is one that can save lives.

Anyone coming across this blog, I ask of you one thing. Please help us spread our message about the dangers of the scam diet Kimkins. It’s easy to do. If you post in any other interest forums, you can mention it to your friends. If you’re out this New Years Eve at a party, and someone has mentioned to you their intentions to start their diet this year, warn them about Kimkins. Got a blog? Give us a mention. Post a message at your local laundry mat or grocery store.

It’s as easy as a sneeze.

        

I was honestly afraid I would run out of things to say, or get really side tracked. My friends at LCF have assured me I did okay.

I have not yet listened to it, my internet connection was a bit choppy and was playing a bit garbled, but I will try again today.

Mr. Crawford was impressed by my conversion rate during the Kimkins promotion. My ad spend sucked out 1/3 of my commissions. Basically, for every dollar invested I got two back.

It’s not a bad rate. I can also tell you, my number of unique visitors (the people who found the site initially through my link) was 7,430 but my total sales were for 430. Not all of those we achieved during the price hike, but the majority were.

It’s a scary thing joining an affiliate program run by a fake diet guru. I question those numbers, and wonder if I wasn’t skimmed.

I did like the affiliate tracking software used, from an affiliate’s stand point.

IDevAffiliate made it easy to view what pages from my web site were pulling in the traffic. I will be getting in touch with them soon, to see if it’s possible for an owner/user of that software to somehow adjust the numbers. The math of this whole thing just doesn’t add up for me.
