When I started my first list, it was completely in a rush and a panic. I was selling the silly Kimkins diet, and was promoting using adwords. I was paying for every visitor who cam to my site. Silly me, I paid for a lot of people to visit me and didn’t even get their names! I was devistated by this later on – not because of the missed opportunity to build a long term relationship with those folks. I was destroyed when I realized all the additional names I could have emailed to tell them about the scam. I’m confident there were many who I missed, and who for a fact I know did join Kimkins.

I didn’t get a list in place until about the 3rd day into the massive sales. It was put up quickly out of desperation when the main Kimkins site went down several times from the traffic overload. I knew people were clicking on my site, and then clicking to go to KK and they got a “server is busy” message of some kind. I was throwing adspend right down the toilet. I needed to get the names of those people so I could email them when the site went back up. It was a mess.

Anyway, it all boiled back down to SEO again, and I was reminded of 1on40. My first typing in of the term was an interesting typo – that was 10n40 – that’s a ten, the letter “n” and the number 40. The o (letter o) and the 0 (zero) are in very close placement on the keyboard. I’ll give that little tidbit away for free for anyone who happens over this often depressing and sadistic blog. So, I got some results with the typo’s (very exciting) and decided to type in properly, and noticed that finally the sweet little hub page I was following had trickled down and the master “1on40″ was at the top.

I was sad to see the hub page project by Terry G had dropped to 3rd on the ranking. But to be honest – I called it a week or so ago. Yes, all those new affiliates have slapped coded banners on their sites, in addition to sprinkling links in blogs, hub pages, and God only knows where – and now there are a bazillion back links getting settled in – and what a mess this will be if indeed 1on40 is deemed a scam. The clean-up will be enormous. The winner now is the 1on40 headquarters dot net and dot com sites.

I am beginning to see the nay-sayers now. A person going by the name of “felix” appeared on Terry’s webpage, crying that google has banned his site, and his page rank has dropped. I wish felix had left a little more information. If anyone would like to leave comments here on this blog, with details and links to your sites please do.

I was a little excited to see my “part 1: 1on40” hanging in there on the front page. I had only blogged once before about it, and I was sure there had to be some people pushing it harder than I was. I think one of my advantages here is the sheer power of WordPress.

Someone joked that maybe 1on40 had shut down scam.com. The site was down for a few days, and like a junkie I was jonesing for scam to get fixed. It has been back up for a week or so now. I visited Scam, and found this great thread here. 1on40 is being compared to MTT aka morethantraffic (dot) com. This company is gone, but many suspect this is a repeat, including Reg, who has his own problems with 1on40 and is documenting them at his forum.

This is just a mini-update for now, and I’ll be continuing on with this soon. I’m sure some people will be interested in some video stuff I have done (if the real scam is revealed) and more that I’m working on – like how to file a complaint with the FTC.

        

I initially considered giving the project a try, as it would be fun to see this blog or any of my fellow bloggers blogs take the number 1 position over Kimkins. There was a free trial thing going on, but my scam fearful side couldn’t bring myself to do it. I’ve decided to follow the results here (for now).

A wonderful hub pages review of 1on40 is involved in the process. A buzz has started on two forums – Scam.com and the Warrior forum. Scam.com seems to have caught the attention of a 1on40 representative who has offered a challenge. But how did 1on40 find the scam discussion thread to begin with?

Is SEO (search engine optimization) dead as we know it? I know a few tricks about SEO, but I am in no way an expert. Also note, organic search engine results are free, while eventually one will have to pay to keep their number one ranking if they agree to 1on40′s terms.

The Scam.com thread has pulled out some first time posters, and what appear to be sock puppets (things that raise red flags with Kimkins.) I will also mention, the tone of the 1on40 representative seemed a bit hostile and cocky. These are just my personal first impressions and should not be interpreted as the holy grail or my final word.

I note this as part 1, as I myself begin to investigate and find out as much as I can on this subject. The free beta trial period is available for a limited time, and will close at the end of March 2008. Oh, and there is an affiliate marketing program as well to consider.

        

I had another silly little campaign that was well under $100, non Kimkins related, so this actual figure may be a bit lower for google. But I more than made up for it with MSN, Yahoo, and even an ebay ad I had going.

Was Kimkins worth $2,676.32? I thought so at the time. That’s a lot of money to invest toward the promotion of a product. That ad spend was the only way I knew to get on the front page of the google search. Boy, have I paid for it. This whole trauma has cost me much more in the long run.

What is the new “Kimmer Experiment?” I will make it to the front page of the google search for the keyword “Kimkins” and there will be no ad spend this time. My interest in doing this is not financial motivation. My interest is purely to get the word out about how dangerous Heidi Diaz is.

When someone does a google search for “Kimkins” the Kimkins.com website comes to the top of the search engine results. I don’t think this is the most important site. I think the sites that tell the real story of Heidi Diaz, the Russian brides, the LIES and the SCAM are what people really need to see.
